Nikki Heron

Nikki joined Pappas Capital in 2025 as the CFO. She is a seasoned finance executive with over 25 years of experience with both public and private companies and has deep knowledge of the biopharmaceutical industry, particularly in preclinical and drug development start-ups. Nikki has a proven track record in corporate finance, equity financing, strategic planning, financial analysis, cash flow optimization, corporate operations, alliance management, and M&A. Throughout her career, she has facilitated significant transactions, including the sale of rPath Inc. to SAS Software in 2012. More recently, she played a critical role in the partnership between Tavros Therapeutics and Vividion Therapeutics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bayer, which led to Tavros’s successful acquisition by Vividion in 2024. She also spent more than a decade as a fractional CFO, supporting over two dozen start-ups, primarily in the biotech sector.

Nikki previously served on the board of directors for NC LifeSci and is an honorary board member at Meals on Wheels of Wake County, after serving as a board member for five years. She is also a frequent guest lecturer at the NC State Poole College of Management.

Vicky McCauley

Vicky joined Pappas Capital in April 2023 as an Administrative Assistant.  Her administrative background includes providing support in the fields of executive recruiting, software, municipal government, and insurance and investment services.  Prior to joining Pappas Capital, Vicky worked with Focus Search Partners as a Project Coordinator.

Lisa Dreyer

Lisa joined Pappas Ventures in November 2010 on a part-time basis to assist with accounting, finance and fundraising activities. She transitioned to full time in October 2014 and was named Senior Associate, Operations.

Prior to joining Pappas, Lisa was a Vice President in the Alternative Investments Group of the J.P. Morgan Private Bank in New York. She was co-head of Investor Relations, responsible for managing all investor communication to the firm’s high net worth clients with respect to their private equity, hedge fund and real estate investments. She was also responsible for providing updates to clients on the performance of their alternative investment portfolios. Prior to the J.P. Morgan Private Bank, Lisa was a Vice President at J.P. Morgan Capital, the firm’s proprietary private equity unit. She worked directly for the COO and assisted in the formation of J.P. Morgan’s first employee co-investment program. Before that, Lisa served as controller for J.P. Morgan Capital. She began her career in the J.P. Morgan Financial division as part of the firm’s financial reporting group.

Glenda Crumpler

Glenda joined Pappas Capital in September 2018 as Executive Administrative Assistant. She has over 20 years of experience utilizing strong problem solving and organization skills to support operational and administrative functions in the pharmaceutical and technology industries. Prior to joining Pappas Capital, Glenda worked at Greenwich Biosciences supporting the Vice President of Clinical Sciences and US Regulatory teams, and managing the RTP office. Glenda has also supported executive leadership at Pfizer, King Pharmaceuticals and Cisco Systems.
