Matt is a CPA and manages Pappas Capital’s financial operations, including financial planning and analysis, treasury management, portfolio company valuation, fund accounting and fund administration. In addition, he is responsible for key administrative functions such as information technology, human resources and real estate. Matt serves as a board observer for Pappas Capital portfolio company Envisia Therapeutics and previously served as a board observer for IlluminOss Medical.

Prior to joining Pappas in 2013, Matt was a Vice President at State Street Global Advisors in Boston overseeing accounting, financial reporting, and valuation for its exchange-traded funds, mutual funds and collective investment funds, and serving as a member of the company’s valuation committee. Matt also spent six years working in the Boston office of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), first as a senior associate in the investment management audit practice and later as a manager in the fraud risks and controls group. In addition, Matt spent part of his career as a financial analyst supporting the Fidelity Investments stock plan recordkeeping business where he was responsible for financial reporting, planning and analysis.
